[Seiyuu] Happy Birthday, Minorin!
I’m ashamed to say I have nothing to give Minorin on her lovely 28th birthday, but I’ve come back here just to say お誕生日おめでとう! (Yeah, I wasn’t on hiatus… just er, busy. Yes.) A couple of nicochans have also given their gratitude as well.
Houkoholic made an informal post about her fanclub exclusive birthday event. Well, as informal as he could make it, what with the unfortunate setup and what have you. While the rest of the blogosphere raises their cups in light of this glorious day. Minorin was estatic to know she’s gracing the cover of Seiyuu Grand Prix’s December issue, despite having her tagline quite litterally saying she’s a sparkly thing in a heap of poo. I’ve sent an agent to retrieve the mag for me regardless, hopefully with the poster the stores give out (maybe to replace the Hirano one I have on the wall now). But who cares about the details, right?

I hope Minorin has a nice, slow day tomorrow, preferrably with family or friends and such. I’ll await for your album grace its presence in my mailbox (ooer).

2 comments[Seiyuu] Appreciating Makino Yui
A familiar name, yeah? I know her most as Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicles, Hazuki from Sketchbook, and Misaki from Welcome to the NHK. Not to mention theme song performances for those aforementioned series, as well as Sousei no Aquarion’s 1st ED and, my favorite, the OPs for the ARIA series. But I never knew that she sings pretty good live: Read more
4 comments[Misc.] Back from Japan
One week in Japan is surely not enough, but money sure disappears fast. Three days in Tokyo allowed me to wonder around Shinjuku, Shibuya, Asakusa, and of course, Akihabara. Read more
No comments[Misc.] Happy Birthday to…

Inokuchi Yuka! (Tabitha from Zero no Tsukaima, Zazie Rainyday from Negima, Kamishiro Rin from Maburaho)
Takayuki Kondo (Midarezaki Ouka from Kyouran Kazoku Nikki) was also born on this day. Oh, I share the same birthday, too hurr hurr.
I guess that’s really my only reason for blogging today. I wanted to reply to the first Round Robin round (ooold news, lol), but finals have left me in despair and my teachers are TOTALLY helping by giving us tons of last minute assignments. And it’s funny, I probably shouldn’t be blogging right now since I only have a week of school left and I have so much to do. So then blogging is part of my escapism as well, perhaps. And my procrastination habits do not make it any better…
To not leave you bored, here’s my Nico Video of the day. YouTube embedded for your convenience. (But really, people ought to sign up on Nico already…) This was #26 in this week’s Nico Nico Douga Ranking, if you’re wondering.
No comments[Seiyuu] English Voice Actor Awards

Japan isn’t the only one with an appreciation for voice acting (obviously). In fact, this is also the 2nd year for both the Seiyuu Awards and Voice Actor awards. But since there have been all sorts of coverage of the Seiyuu Awards (and how rigged it is), I’ll put in my plug for the Voice Actor awards, also known as the Voicey Awards. I’ve been lazy to talk about this and it’s been more than a month since I found out about the results, but now it’s Spring Break, I have all the time in the world.
